In a world where advertisements are plastered all over every surface, from benches and stairs to pedestrian crosswalks, businesses are turning to high-tech interactive displays that all but reach out and tap us on the shoulder as we pass. We’re captivated by holograms, drawn in by images that react to our gestures, distracted by swooping motion-activated ads and entertained by exhibits that give us control over objects in the store window. Could these interactive window displays be a glimpse at the future of advertising?

His designs see the logos of the two social media websites on a pair of Adidas Superstar sneakers. Although just a concept, a Facebook fan page has been created to convince Adidas to actually produce the range.

A light installation called Light Showers has been installed in Salisbury Cathedral by artist Bruce Munro. It took five days to complete with two thousand teardrop diffusers, each set at the end of a fibre optic thread, cascading down from the spire.
