Gardeners at Longleat house in Wiltshire have come up with a novel method to trim their massive yew hedge maze – by using high tech stilts. The dreaded annual trim used to take an army of workers weeks to complete but now just two men on stilts can polish it off in two days. The aluminium stilts lift the men over seven feet in the air, allowing them to easily cut the hedge… and find their way out at the end of the day.
