The wildebeest migration in Tanzania, of the world’s most spectacular wildlife events, is captured here by professional photographer Tom Whetton. This picture shows some 5,000 animals attempting to cross the Mara River – just a fraction of the 1.5 million animals that make the treacherous crossing every year.
